150 Voices

sound and video installation celebrating 150 years of Kontiolahti municipality
150 voices is a sound and video installation celebrating 150 years of Kontiolahti municipality.
Project idea and implementation Jaap Klevering. Interviews with local residents Merja Pennanen.
Throughout the year 2023, traveling around the community.

The work is an associative journey to the past, present and future. The residents of Kontiolahti tell their stories spontaneously and from the heart.

In front of the installation is a small pond of water that reflects moving clouds in the sky. Cast a fishing rod and catch stories and soundscapes: the lake speaks and the forest listens.
